ADVANCE NOTES

·         Buescher at Atlanta Motor Speedway

o   Chris Buescher makes his third career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend.  In his two previous starts, Buescher earned two 13th-place finishes.

o   This is the same chassis that the No. 60 team raced last season at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (11), Chicagoland Speedway (12) and Texas Motor Speedway (13).

·         Speedway Racing

o   In 24 starts at intermediate tracks in the NASCAR XFINITY Series, Buescher has earned thee top-five and eight top-10 finishes, while leading 31 laps.

·         On the Car

o   The No. 60 Ford Mustang carries the Fastenal colors this weekend in Atlanta.

o   Over the past 47 years, Fastenal has grown from a small-town fastener shop, to a thriving regional business, to North America’s largest fastener distributor, to the world’s most efficient supplier of OEM, MRO, and construction products.  Fastenal operates nearly 2,700 stores spanning all 50 states and 20-plus nations.

·         Recapping Daytona

o   It was a race filled with close calls and near misses for Buescher.  The sophomore driver in the NASCAR XFINITY Series maneuvered around several big accidents during the 120-Lap race at Daytona International Speedway, ultimately pushing his Roush Fenway teammate Ryan Reed to victory, while the No. 60 Cheez-It Ford Mustang crossed the finish line for the season-opener in second.

QUOTE WORTHY

Chris Buescher on racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway:

“It is great to have momentum heading into Atlanta after a solid start.  Our Fastenal Ford Mustang is looking good and we expect to be able to compete for the win this weekend.  Atlanta is one of the more difficult tracks we go to because of the racing surface, but it also puts on a great race.”
