RICHMOND, Va. – Landon Cassill turned in his best run of the Xfinity Series season Friday night, finishing 10th in the ToyotaCare 250 at Richmond International Raceway.

The race marked Cassill’s first top-10 finish of the season.

Cassill, driving the Flex Seal Chevrolet, qualified a strong 21st and climbed steadily through the field to roll into the top 10.

“Great car and a great night,” Cassill said. “This is what we’re used to doing. Didn’t think it would take us this long to get a top 10, but hopefully it gives us some momentum going forward.”

The finish boosted Cassill to 17th in the Xfinity driver standings.

Denny Hamlin won the race, leading 248 of the 250 laps. Ty Dillon finished ninth and kept the series point lead.

The next Xfinity race is May 2 at Talladega Superspeedway.
