Recapping Kansas

Bayne took the green flag on Saturday night for the rain-delayed 267-lap event at Kansas Speedway from the 30th position. After racing his way into the top 25, Bayne sustained damage to the nose of the AdvoCare Ford that ultimately led to a 31st-place finish.

QUOTE WORTHY

Bayne on All-Star weekend:

“This is always a fun weekend. I was fortunate enough to race in the All-Star race in 2012 with the Wood Brothers. Hopefully we can race our way into it again this weekend with our AdvoCare Ford. We’ve got 40 laps to get it done on Friday night, and I’m confident that (crew chief) Bob (Osborne) will give me a car capable of getting it done.”
