Sadler at Dover International Speedway
Elliott Sadler makes his 15th NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) start at Dover International Speedway this weekend in Dover, DE. In Sadler’s previous 14 starts, he has one pole award, three top-five and eight top-10 finishes at Dover.
The veteran driver from Emporia, VA also has 24 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) starts at Dover with three top-10 finishes. Sadler has also led 188 laps at Dover in the NSCS.
Previous NASCAR XFINITY Series Race
Sadler finished in ninth-place during Saturday’s NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) race at Charlotte Motor Speedway (CMS). Sadler qualified for the 200-lap event on Saturday morning and started the NXS race from the 11th position. In the first few laps, Sadler quickly worked his way up to ninth. At the halfway point, Sadler continued to move forward and made it up to seventh. However, the momentum shifted after a mid-race adjustment tightened up the car too much. With a tight car, Sadler lost a few spots and dropped back to 11th. After the crew fixed the tight handling car, Sadler was able to battle his way forward and crossed the finish line in the ninth position.

Following CMS, Sadler moved forward one position in the NXS Driver Point Standings. After 11 races, Sadler is now sixth in points, 49 points behind the leader.
