ADVANCE NOTES

Wallace at Michigan International Speedway

This Saturday, Bubba Wallace will make his first NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Michigan International Speedway.

In two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at Michigan International Speedway in 2013 and 2014, Wallace earned finishes of 21st and 11th, respectively.  Wallace led 48 of 100 laps in 2014 after starting fourth.

So far in the 2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series season, Wallace ranks first in the number of quality passes, with 596.  He has completed the most laps inside the top 15 (2,183 of 2,355 or 92.7 percent), and holds the second best average running position (8.5).

Recapping Dover International Speedway

Wallace traveled to his favorite track on the NASCAR circuit looking for his first NASCAR XFINITY Series victory.  The 21-year-old captured his second pole at Dover International Speedway, led 52 laps, and ran in the top-five for the majority of the race.  Contact with just a handful of laps remaining forced Wallace to pit road, relegating the team to a 17th-place finish.

On the Car

The No. 6 Mustang carries the Ford EcoBoost colors this weekend in Michigan.  Ford EcoBoost technology combines smaller overall size with turbocharging, direct injection and variable valve timing to bring customers outstanding performance and fuel economy.

QUOTE WORTHY

Bubba Wallace on racing at Michigan International Speedway

“I am really excited to get to Michigan.  It is home for both Jack Roush and Ford, so we are looking for a solid weekend.  We enter with momentum from the first stretch of the year.  This would be a great place to get our first win with the Ford EcoBoost colors.”
