ADVANCE NOTES
Sadler at Michigan International Speedway
Elliott Sadler makes his 11th NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) start at Michigan International Speedway (MIS) this weekend in Brooklyn, MI. In Sadler’s previous 10 starts, he has five top-10 finishes with 10 laps led at MIS.
The veteran driver from Emporia, VA also has 24 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) starts at MIS with one top-five and six top-10 finishes. Sadler has also led 26 laps at MIS in the NSCS.
Previous NASCAR XFINITY Series Race
Following an off-weekend, Sadler’s most recent NXS race was on May 30th, at Dover International Speedway. Sadler qualified for the 200 lap event on Saturday morning and started the NXS race from the 13th position. Sadler battled handing issues at the beginning of the race, but continued to push his way forward and moved up multiple positions. Running 10th with 80 laps to go, Sadler radioed in that his power voltage gauge was starting to fluctuate. With 20 laps remaining in the race, Sadler’s race car started missing and Sadler was forced to come down pit road and replace batteries. With only a few laps remaining in the race, Sadler returned to the track and crossed the finish line in the 21st position.
2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series Driver Point Standings
Following the NXS race at Dover, Sadler currently sits in the sixth position in the NXS Driver Point Standings. After 12 races, Sadler is 73 points behind the leader and 24 points behind fifth place.

QUOTE WORTHY
“I am more than ready to get back in my No. 1 OneMain Financial Ford Mustang this weekend at Michigan International Speedway. After the NASCAR XFINITY Series off weekend and the unlucky battery failure at Dover, I’m ready to get the momentum going in the right direction again. Prior to Dover, we posted three top-10 finishes in a row and things were really clicking within our crew. Our NASCAR XFINITY Series program at Roush Fenway Racing has been performing extremely well for the first third of the season and don’t be surprised if you see a Ford in Victory Lane again at Michigan.”
