  • A total of 21 Team Chevy drivers will start the Quicken Loans 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Michigan International Speedway. The 200-lap event is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m., ET and will air live on FOX Sports 1, MRN Radio, Sirius/XM Radio Channel 90 and www.nascar.com.


CHEVROLET DRIVERS STARTING IN THE TOP-10:

  • Kasey Kahne, No. 5 Great Clips Chevrolet SS, will lead the field to green as the pole sitter
  • Kevin Harvick, No. 4 Budweiser/Jimmy John’s Chevy SS, start second
  • Jeff Gordon, No. 24 Panasonic Chevrolet SS, will roll off sixth
  • Austin Dillon, No. 3 American Ethanol Chevrolet SS, will take the green flag from the seventh starting spot
  • Jimmie Johnson, No. 48 KOBALT Tools Chevrolet SS, will start eighth
  • Martin Truex, Jr., No. 78 Furniture Row/Visser Precision Chevrolet SS, will take the green from the ninth starting position

 

TEAM CHEVY IN NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES (NSCS) COMPETITION:

  • Chevrolet has won 38 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) Manufacturers’ Championships
  • Team Chevy drivers have scored 747 wins and 674 poles in NSCS competition

  • Chevrolet drivers have won 22 of 91 races at Michigan International Speedway. Victories by current Team Chevy drivers are:

    • Kurt Busch, No. 41 Haas Automation Chevrolet SS, has two victories at Michigan International Speedway (’03 & ’07)
    • Dale Earnhardt, Jr., No. 88 AMP Energy Chevrolet SS, has made two trips to Victory Lane at Michigan International Speedway (’08 & ’12)
    • Ryan Newman, No. 31 Quicken Loans Chevrolet SS, has two trophies from Michigan International Speedway (’03 & ’04)
    • Kevin Harvick, No. 4 Budweiser/Jimmy John’s Chevrolet SS, has one win at Michigan International Speedway (’10)
    • Jimmie Johnson, No. 48 KOBALT Tools  Chevrolet SS, has made one trip to Victory Lane at Michigan International Speedway (’14)
    • Kasey Kahne, No. 5 Great Clips Chevrolet SS, has one victory at Michigan International Speedway (’06)
    • Tony Stewart, No. 14 Bass Pro Shops/Mobil 1 Chevrolet SS, has one trophy from Michigan International Speedway (’00)

 

  • A Chevrolet driver has won two of the last three races at Michigan International Speedway
  • A Chevrolet driver has sat on the pole at Michigan International Speedway 25 times
