Bobby Labonte Coke Zero 400 Race Advance

57th annual Coke Zero 400 powered by Coca-Cola at Daytona International Raceway

News and Notes: After a weekend of racing in “The Golden State” of California, the No.32 C&J Energy Services team will travel to the “The Sunshine State” with 2000 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) Champion Bobby Labonte for the 57th annual Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, FL.

Sunday evening’s Coke Zero 400 will mark Labonte’s 46th career start at “The World Center Of Racing” which ties the most starts of any other active driver in the (NSCS) with Jeff Gordon. The Corpus Christi, TX native has 6 top-five finishes, 10 top-ten finishes and 70 laps led at the 2.5-mile superspeedway. In the season-opening Daytona 500, Labonte finished 24th after starting 43rd.

Bobby Labonte on Daytona: “I am looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of the No.32 C&J Energy Services Ford Fusion at Daytona this week. We qualified in on speed at Talladega in May and ran well all day. Then when it got single file we fell back a few spots. I think Daytona will have some handling to it with the July heat this weekend. If there are some longer green-flag runs that form, I believe that could be good for us as well. It’s always fun racing in Daytona on July 4th weekend under the lights.”

Chassis Info: Crew Chief Clinton Cram will be bringing chassis GGR-650 to serve as the primary car. Previously, Labonte ran this chassis Talladega in May, finishing 27th.  Chassis GGR-689 will serve as the backup car, which previously ran at Daytona in February finishing 24th.
