POOLE READY TO TAKE ON THE “MAGIC MILE”

Brennan Poole’s string of four consecutive races in the No. 42 DC Solar Chevrolet Camaro comes to a close this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Through 11 starts, Poole has one top-10 and six top-15 finishes, with an average start of 16.7 and an average finish of 19.5. This will be Poole’s debut on the 1.0-mile flat oval. Poole’s next XFINITY Series start will be at Iowa Speedway in early August.

MEET BRENNAN

On Saturday, July 18 from 12:45 – 1:00 p.m. EDT, Poole will participate in a Q&A and sign autographs for fans at the XFINITY Zone Display in the fan midway.

RIDE WITH BRENNAN

Poole will once again carry the DC Solar on-board camera for Saturday’s 200-lap race. Tune into NBC Sports Network for all the action from the Lakes Region 200.

A LOOK BACK ON KENTUCKY

Poole started 17th after the starting grid was set per the NASCAR rulebook using practice times. For much of the first half of the race, Poole gained several positions riding just outside the top 10. He reported the handling of his car was really good and the DC Solar team made minor adjustments throughout the night. Poole consistently ran top-10 lap times throughout the race. Following a cycle of green-flag pit stops, Poole ran a race-high 11th with less than 50 laps to go. He received a free pass back on to the lead lap under the race’s final caution. After pit stops under caution, he would ultimately finish the day in 12th position.

POOLE ON NEW HAMPSIRE MOTOR SPEEDWAY

“I’m excited to race on a flat track like New Hampshire. The racing is always intense and it’s the type of track I grew up watching and racing on. I look forward to turning my first laps in the race and building on last week’s momentum with our DC Solar team.”

CREW CHIEF MIKE SHIPLETT ON NEW HAMPSHIRE MOTOR SPEEDWAY

“New Hampshire is a track where fuel mileage tends to come into play. Very often teams will use two-tire pit strategies to gain track position. The key to getting around New Hampshire fast is a good braking car along with being able to turn well in the center of the turns. Brennan has done a nice job adapting to new tracks this year, and we hope this weekend will be no different.”
