ADVANCE NOTES

Buescher at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

Chris Buescher makes his second NASCAR XFINITY Series start at New Hampshire Motor Speedway this weekend.  In his previous start, which came last season, Buescher started ninth and finished fifth, leading three laps.

On the Car

The No. 60 Ford Mustang carries the Zest colors this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.  Zest has been keeping families Zestfully Clean for over half a century.  Zest falls under the Brynwood Partners umbrella, along with Bit-O-Honey, which has appeared on Buescher’s car twice this season.

Established in 1984, Brynwood Partners is a lower middle market buyout fund that acquires consumer products companies.  The managing partners of Brynwood Partners have extensive operating experience, as CEOs and CFOs of both public and private companies, which allows the firm to acquire both performing and underperforming businesses and corporate orphan brands with or without management teams.

Recapping Kentucky Speedway

For the second week in a row, Buescher was able to overcome adversity to maintain his points lead in the NASCAR XFINITY Series.  He battled a vibration in his No. 60 Cheez-It Ford Mustang late in the race, ultimately finishing 11th at Kentucky Speedway.

QUOTE WORTHY

Chris Buescher on racing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

“I really like flat track racing, and I like short track racing.  Loudon is a pretty tough track because it’s really unique.  I feel like we had a good run there and we can go back and do the same in our Zest Mustang.  We’re going to try out a couple of short track things we learned at Iowa and see if it will apply here.”
