Numbers Game: Should a Chevrolet SS drive to victory this weekend at Pocono Raceway the Bowtie brand will celebrate its 750th NASCAR Sprint Cup Series win. A Chevrolet has won 31 of 75 races at Pocono, has won six of the last six races at the Tricky Triangle and has won the pole award 32 times. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR POCONO RACEWAY

Jamie McMurray and No. 1 Lexar Team

Brickyard 400 Recap: The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) made stop No. 20 on the 2015 season at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) for the 22nd running of the Crown Royal Presents the Jeff Kyle 400 at the Brickyard. Jamie McMurray and the McDonald’s/Cessna team looked to capitalize on a strong top-10 qualifying effort from Saturday afternoon. After working through handling challenges most of the day McMurray raced to the finish on a green-white-checkered attempt to a 16th-place result.

McMurray at Pocono: Jamie McMurray has made 25 starts at Pocono Raceway where he has completed 4,464 of 4,572 (97.6%) laps of competition. He has seven top-10 finishes with an average start of 16.4 and average finish of 19.3. McMurray has led a total of 21 laps in NSCS competition. He has one pole (July 2005) and his best finish was seventh-place on two occasions, his last two races at Pocono (Aug. 2014, June 2015).

Long-Term Memory: The No. 1 Chevrolet SS driven by Jamie McMurray will feature the colorful paint scheme for Lexar products. Lexar is a long-standing partner of Chip Ganassi Racing Teams (CGRT). Lexar products continue to help CGRT enhance the way drivers and engineers gather and analyze data from the race cars. CGRT uses Lexar products in a variety of different capacities throughout the organization with its Verizion IndyCar, TUDOR United Sports Car Championship and NASCAR XFINITY and Sprint Cup Series teams, utilizing Lexar SD memory cards, CompactFlash memory cards and Lexar USB flash drives.

Kyle Larson and No. 42 Suave Men Team

Indianapolis Recap: The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) made its annual stop at one of racing’s most storied venues, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS). The Target team, making their second start at IMS with Kyle Larson behind the wheel, had a strong weekend from beginning to end en route to a ninth-place finish in Sunday’s Brickyard 400.

Larson at Pocono: Larson will be making his fourth NSCS start at the Tricky Triangle, a track where the Target team has seen some success. At the second Pocono race last season Larson set a new track record (183.438 mph) during qualifying en route to earning his first NSCS Coors Light Pole award. With an average start of 10.0 and an average finish of 8.0, Larson has the sixth highest driver rating at Pocono. Additionally, he has one win there in the ARCA Racing Series.

Looking Good, Feeling Confident: This weekend at Pocono, Larson’s familiar Target Chevy will be getting restyled to feature Unilever brand Suave Men, which is America’s number-one men’s shampoo brand. This will be the third Unilever themed car that Larson has driven in the NSCS. He has previously driven cars featuring AXE Peace and AXE White Label.

A Shopping Bullseye: If you have made it to the race only to find out you’ve forgotten to pack a few necessities, there’s no need to worry. For all your last minute needs, and forgotten items, Target has all of the essentials and more. Target is located at 155 Pocono Commons, Stroudsburg, Pa. 18360, and can be reached at (570) 426-1050. Call ahead and make sure they have what you need.
