In the Points

Biffle is currently 18th in the point standings, 51 points out of 16th.

Biffle on Watkins Glen:

“Watkins Glen is one of my favorite places to go.  I’ve got a pole and a win there in the Trucks and an outside front row starting position in the Cup car.  It’s a fun place, very challenging, lots of elevation changes and the tricky Esses.  It’s some of the most technical driving that we do after turn one, that shift to third as we’re going downhill into the bottom of a right hand turn, then up and shift through fourth through the middle of the Esses then a really high speed turn onto the top straightaway.  It’s a very intimidating part of the race track, but there’s a lot of speed there, a lot of lap time.  It’s a very fast road course.”

Puccia on Watkins Glen:

“We had a good run going at Sonoma before getting a flat tire at the end and some of the things we learned will translate and help out at Watkins Glen this week.  Watkins Glen is close to home for me and it’s always good to get up there once a year.  Track position is a big key to being successful on a road course and so is proper pit strategy.”
