No. 46 Switch Hitch Chevrolet
Watkins Glen International
Cheez-It 355 at the Glen | August 9, 2015
Turning Right for the Final Time in 2015…The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series makes its final road course stop of the 2015 season this weekend at Watkins Glen International in New York, where Michael Annett is prepared to add right turns to his driving repertoire on the winding 2.45-mile track.
Switch Hitch Rejoins the No. 46 Team…Annett’s No. 46 Chevrolet will be adorned by Switch Hitch, which first partnered with the team two weeks ago at Indianapolis. Invented by Terry Brinkley after he experienced problems with traditional hitch balls, Switch Hitch is a tri-ball hitch system designed to quickly switch from one ball to another through a patented switching and locking mechanism. Annett at Watkins Glen…Annett made five career NASCAR Xfinity Series starts at Watkins Glen. His best finish of 11th came in 2012.
Michael Annett on Watkins Glen International:
“I think you’ll see a lot of teams play the fuel-mileage game this weekend, as far as strategy goes. From a competition standpoint, these road course races are becoming more and more like short track racing. There’s always a lot of contact. Getting through the race unscathed is a pretty big feat.”
