LEXINGTON, Ohio – Michael Self, racing in the Xfinity Series for the third time, finished 27th in Saturday’s Nationwide Children’s Hospital 200 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Self qualified 25th and raced mid-pack most of the day, finishing on the lead lap in the Auto Remote Warehouse Chevrolet.

“We didn’t get the solid finish we wanted, but it was an OK day,” Self said. “The more experience I can get in this series, the better we’ll run. We got in every lap, and all the seat time really helps.”

Regan Smith won the race with a last-turn pass, and Chris Buescher kept the point lead.

The series moves on to Bristol, Tenn., for an Aug. 21 race.
