ADVANCE NOTES

Buescher at Road America

Roush Fenway Racing’s Chris Buescher makes his second NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Road America on Saturday.  Last season, Buescher started ninth with a fast Ford Mustang, before rain and a pit road speeding penalty slowed him down, ultimately finishing 18th.

Buescher has one ARCA Racing Series start at Road America, which resulted in a win.  In 2013, he started sixth and led the final lap en route to victory.

On the Car

The No. 60 Ford Mustang carries the Fastenal colors this weekend at Road America.

Over the past 47 years, Fastenal has grown from a small-town fastener shop, to a thriving regional business, to North America’s largest fastener distributor, to the world’s most efficient supplier of OEM, MRO, and construction products.  Fastenal operates nearly 2,700 stores spanning all 50 states and 20-plus nations.

Recapping Bristol Motor Speedway

A bold pit call by crew chief Scott Graves had Buescher in contention for the win Friday night at Bristol Motor Speedway.  Buescher restarted in the lead in his No. 60 Roush Performance Mustang for the green-white-checker finish, but ultimately had a fuel pick-up issue, finishing 11th.

QUOTE WORTHY

Chris Buescher on racing at Road America

“Road America is a very difficult and unique road course.  I love road racing and look forward to the challenge.  Our team has finished in the top-five in the two road races this year, and I feel that we can get another one this weekend with our Fastenal Ford Mustang.”
