Smithfield’s "Fuel Up With The King" Sweepstakes Gives Fans a Chance to Tailgate With Racing Legend Richard Petty and the No. 43 Team

Enter Daily for a Chance to Kick Off the 2016 Season With “The King”

SMITHFIELD, Va., Aug. 25, 2015 — For racing fans, the opportunity to tailgate with royalty could be just a bacon strip away. Smithfield announced the start of its “Fuel Up with the King” Sweepstakes, where one lucky fan will win the Grand Prize of an all-inclusive trip for two to the 2016 race in Daytona, a new Ford F-150 and a Smithfield-hosted tailgate with “The King” Richard Petty, Aric Almirola, and the legendary Richard Petty Motorsports No. 43 team.

“Smithfield is very proud to once again team up with Richard Petty Motorsports and provide an opportunity for racing enthusiasts everywhere to get the ultimate fan experience,” said Dennis Pittman, Senior Director of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs for Smithfield. “Racing fans are as loyal and passionate a group as they come, and we hope with this sweepstakes we can add a little bit of flavor and a whole lot of fun to their enthusiasm for the sport.”

Now through October 31, anyone with a code from specially marked packages of Smithfield bacon, lunch meat, smoked sausage, quarter boneless spiral ham, and a variety of Smithfield Anytime Favorites ham cuts can enter the Fuel Up with the King sweepstakes daily. A higher number of entries increases the chance of winning. The winner will be announced at the end of November and will fly out to Daytona Beach next February for the first race of the 2016 season.

Participants also have a chance to win a variety of daily, weekly, and monthly prizes in addition to the Grand Prize. Daily winners can score prizes such as a No. 43 hat autographed by the “The King,” die-cast No. 43 cars, and t-shirts; each week one person will win free Smithfield bacon for an entire year; and one monthly winner will receive a Weber grill.

To enter, purchase one of 28 different Smithfield products with limited edition packaging featuring Richard Petty in the iconic Petty Blue. Next, head to FuelupwiththeKing.com and enter your personal information to register. Finally, submit the unique code found on your package to enter for the Grand Prize, and find out if you are a daily Instant Prize Winner. For an added chance to win, share the sweepstakes with friends via social media or email to receive another entry code.
