Last year at Chicagoland
After overcoming many hurdles during Sunday’s MyAFibStory.com 400 at Chicagoland Speedway, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. led the Roush Fenway Racing efforts with his 17th-place finish after a competitor made contact with his Ford with ten laps remaining forcing him to bring his Ford to pit road for repair.
Fastenal
Fastenal is currently in its fourth season as a primary partner in the NSCS for Roush Fenway. They spent three years on the No. 99 before jumping over to the No. 17 entry, and were the primary partner on the No. 60 XFINITY team that captured the owner’s championship in 2011.
Stenhouse Jr. on racing at Chicagoland:
“The past couple of years we’ve been competitive at Chicagoland. Our 1.5-mile program has struggled this year but everyone at Roush Fenway has been working really hard and we’ve made some gains the past couple of races. We have 10 more races to keep building so hopefully we can steal a win before the season is over.”
Nick Sandler on racing at Chicagoland:
“Chicago is a tough track because it is rough and it’s hard to find the right balance. Ricky has had success there in the past and we look forward to continuing that this weekend. The No. 16 team tested there so we have some notes from them to go back on. Overall we are gaining speed in our cars so hopefully we can have another solid weekend.”
