ADVANCE NOTES

Sadler at Charlotte

Elliott Sadler will make his 18th NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) start at Charlotte Motor Speedway (CMS) this Friday night in Concord, NC. In Sadler’s previous 17 starts at CMS, he has one pole award, four top-five and seven top-10 finishes. Earlier this year, Sadler started 11th and finished ninth.

The veteran driver from Emporia, VA also has 25 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) starts at CMS with one pole award, one top-five and three top-10 finishes. Sadler has also led 194 laps at CMS in the NSCS.

Previous NASCAR XFINITY Series Race

Sadler finished ninth this past Saturday in the NXS race at Dover International Speedway. Sadler started 10th as the field was set by owner points due to the rainout of qualifying.  The OneMain Financial Ford Mustang remained in the top 10 for the majority of the race.  A pit strategy to take two tires put Sadler at the front of the field for a brief rain delay on lap 114.  When the race resumed, Sadler was able to maintain a top-10 finish despite the rest of the frontrunners having four fresh tires.  The ninth place finish moves Sadler up to fifth in the drivers point standings.

2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series Driver Point Standings

Following the NXS race at Dover, Sadler moved forward one position to the fifth spot in the NXS Driver Point Standings. After 28 races, Sadler is now 110 points behind the leader.

QUOTE WORTHY

“This race is always a special one for me and my family. I’ll be driving the a special pink paint scheme on my No. 1 OneMain Financial Ford Mustang Friday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway. My sponsor, OneMain Financial, allows me to drive a pink car in October to help spread Breast Cancer Awareness. My Mom is a Breast Cancer survivor and helping raise awareness is a big deal to my family. I’m ready to get back in the seat and let everyone see the custom paint scheme Friday night under the lights.”
