Martinsville Speedway – Sunday, Nov. 1 at 1:15pm EST. on NBCSNADVANCE NOTES

Bayne at Martinsville

Bayne makes his third career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) start at Martinsville Speedway this weekend.

In two previous starts at the famed Virginia short track, Bayne has recorded a best finish of 18th in the spring 2015 event.

Bob Osborne at Martinsville

Osborne will call his 18th NSCS event at Martinsville on Sunday.  In 17 previous races at the paper-clip shaped oval, Osborne has recorded one top-five and four top-10 finishes, with a best finish of third in October 2008 with former Roush Fenway Racing driver Carl Edwards.

Recapping Talladega

Bayne ran inside the top 10 for much of the 196-Lap event at Talladega Superspeedway before contact with the No. 4 of Kevin Harvick on the final restart of the race sent the AdvoCare Ford into the outside retaining wall, ultimately leading to a 21st-place finish.

QUOTE WORTHY

Bayne on racing at Martinsville:

“Martinsville is a fun track to race on. There’s a lot of beating and banging that goes on and trouble can happen anywhere. We ran pretty well in the spring with the AdvoCare Ford and hopefully we can keep our nose clean and get an even better result on Sunday.”
