ADVANCE NOTES

Biffle at Martinsville

Biffle has 25 Sprint Cup Series starts at Martinsville. In those starts he has earned five top-10 finishes, two of which came in 2013 with back-to-back top-10 finishes.

Last Time at Martinsville

Biffle started 25th in his No. 16 Ford Fusion and was poised to crack the top 10 when he was collected in one of the final cautions.  Biffle pitted multiple times to fix a pushed in grille and raised hood, all while staying on the lead lap to earn a 19th-place finish.

In the Points

Biffle is currently 19th in the point standings.

Biffle on Martinsville:

“Martinsville is one of those race tracks where you don’t want to go because it’s not our best track, but we always seem to come out of there with top 10’s and actually leading some laps.  We had a good race in the spring but got some right front damage and had to fix it, but it still turned out to be an ok race.  We are excited about our opportunity to try and get a clock this weekend.”

Puccia on Martinsville:

“Martinsville is one of my favorite race tracks to go to; I’ve been going there since I was young when my father would take me.  I always look forward to going there.  It gets back to the roots of old short track racing, beating and banging.  Track position is really big at Martinsville.  It’s a one lane, one groove race track so qualifying on Friday will be very important and tire management is also a big deal at Martinsville.”
