ADVANCE NOTES

Wallace at Phoenix International Raceway

As the NASCAR XFINITY Series travels to Phoenix International Raceway for the second time this season, Roush Fenway Racing’s Bubba Wallace prepares to make his second start in the series at the one-mile track.  Earlier this season, Wallace started 16th and finished 15th.

In two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at Phoenix International Raceway, Wallace has a best start of ninth and a best finish of sixth, both of which came in 2014.  Wallace also led 12 laps in the 2014 event.

On the Car

The No. 6 Mustang carries the Ford EcoBoost colors this weekend in Phoenix.  Ford EcoBoost technology combines smaller overall size with turbocharging, direct injection and variable valve timing to bring customers outstanding performance and fuel economy.

Recapping Texas Motor Speedway

Wallace charged through the field in the early stages of the NASCAR XFINITY Series event at Texas Motor Speedway, after having to start at the rear of the field.  Ultimately, a flat right-front tire led to a 19th-place finish for the No. 6 Fastenal Ford Mustang.

QUOTE WORTHY

Bubba Wallace on racing at Phoenix International Raceway:

“I’m excited to get back to Phoenix.  I feel like I’ve learned a lot as a driver and we’ve definitely improved as a team since the beginning of the season.  I know our team has been working hard, and I expect that our Ford EcoBoost Mustang will unload fast.  It’s been a tough couple of weeks, but this group won’t quit and we are still looking to close out the year on a positive note.”
