Homestead Bound…Homestead-Miami Speedway (HMS) marks the final race of the 2015 season. Justin Allgaier has one NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) start at HMS, with a 15th-place finish. Allgaier’s best finish at a 1.5-mile track this season is 20that Atlanta Motor Speedway. His best NSCS career finish at a 1.5-mile track is 15th, tied in 2014 at Charlotte II and Homestead. Allgaier has six starts in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) at HMS, with a best finish of 11th and one lap led. This weekend is also Allgaier’s last race with HScott Motorsports. After two full NSCS seasons with the Spartanburg, S.C. team, Allgaier will be returning to the NXS in 2016.

Phoenix II Race Recap…The final short track race of the season was completed last weekend at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR). Allgaier and the No. 51 BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevy team had three practice sessions at PIR and qualified 25th for the Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500. After rain delayed the start of the 312-lap race, and shortened it by 93 laps, Allgaier drove the No. 51 BRANDT Chevy to a 17th-place finish for HScott Motorsports.

Congratulations to Chevrolet…Chevy wrapped up the NSCS Manufacturers Championship at PIR last weekend, taking home the honor for the 13th-straight season. Chevy has three cars this weekend vying for the NSCS Championship at HMS.

Justin Allgaier on Homestead-Miami Speedway:
“I can’t believe we’re at Homestead [Miami Speedway] already. It seems like yesterday we were getting ready for the Daytona 500. There’s a lot on the line this weekend with the four guys going for the Championship. Everyone wants to go into the offseason with a win, so there will definitely be a lot of action on the track. We had a solid finish at Homestead last year, and I want to repeat that again for everybody at HScott Motorsports and at BRANDT. This weekend is bittersweet with it being my last Sprint Cup race with HScott Motorsports. Everyone has worked so hard at the team over the years to build it into what it is today, and I’m thankful for the opportunity I’ve had. I really want to get BRANDT a top 10 this weekend. They’ve been so supportive of my career, and will continue to be.”

Crew Chief Steve Addington on Homestead-Miami Speedway:
“Homestead [Miami Speedway] is the last race of the season. There’s a lot of pressure to end the season on a high note. These guys have worked hard all year, and Justin finished 15th in this race last year. I think we have a good shot at beating that finish this weekend. It’s also BRANDT’s last race with HScott Motorsports and they’ve been a great partner, so I want to get them a good finish as well.”

About Competition Director and Crew Chief Steve Addington:
Spartanburg, S.C. native Steve Addington joined HScott Motorsports in January 2014 as competition director and crew chief for the No. 51 BRANDT Chevrolet SS.
