MOORESVILLE, N.C. (February 5, 2016) – Team Penske will celebrate its landmark 50th anniversary season with fans in some unique ways in 2016.  One of those ways is to give away a brand new Mustang.

Today, the team launched the #Penske50 Mustang Sweepstakes – a special online promotion in conjunction with Ford that will see one lucky fan win a Ford Mustang GT as part of a year-long celebration of Team Penske’s 50 years in motorsports.

Building awareness through its online and social media channels while giving back to its loyal fans, Team Penske is teaming up with partners Ford and Shell for the #Penske50 Mustang Sweepstakes. A Team Penske fan will have the opportunity to win a 2016 Ford Mustang GT and a year’s supply of Shell V-Power NiTRO+ Premium Gasoline. Team Penske and Ford have enjoyed a long-standing relationship in NASCAR that dates back to 1976 with Bobby Allison racing a Mercury at Daytona International Speedway. The partnership also produced 23 race wins with Rusty Wallace between 1994 and 2001. Team Penske and Ford teamed up again in 2013 and the two winning companies have continued to build on the success together on track.
