Brian Scott and the No. 44 Team Look to Develop Success with New Rules Package at Atlanta Motor Speedway

Twisted Tea to Adorn Hood of the No. 44 Ford Fusion for First Time this Season

Starting in his second race as a rookie in NASCAR’s premier series, Brian Scott is looking forward to his first race in a Sprint Cup Series car at Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend. After a 24th-place finish in Daytona, Scott is excited for the first “real race of the season” that will include the new low downforce rules package on the Sprint Cup Series cars for the first time in Atlanta. Scott will also continue to add points to his rookie of the year battle, in which he currently sits in second place four points behind Ryan Blaney.

Although Scott never ran a Sprint Cup Series car at Atlanta, he does have experience in the XFINITY Series and Camping World Truck Series. In 10 races at the 1.5-mile Atlanta Motor Speedway, Scott has earned five Top-10 finishes, three in the XFINITY Series and two in the Camping World Truck Series. He also started on the front row in the second position last year in the XFINITY Series race at Atlanta, finishing seventh.

With Twisted Tea as the primary sponsor for this weekend’s race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, fans will have the opportunity to meet Scott at a Kroger in Peachtree City in Georgia on Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. Scott will sign autographs and take photos with fans until 9:30 a.m.

When: Saturday, February 27 from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m.
Where: Kroger – 564 Crosstown Dr, Peachtree City, GA 30269

“Putting Daytona in the rearview, I think fans will see a great race in Atlanta. I like slipping and sliding around, and I think the low downforce package is going to help with that. I think Atlanta, just being an old, worn out surface, has always been that way to make the cars slip and slide around, and I think the tire development that Goodyear has done added to that as well. It’s kind of like the first real race of the season with Daytona being an exception and a superspeedway. We’re excited to have Twisted Tea on our Ford Fusion, and I’m really looking forward to it.”
