TMG Announces Crawfest and City of New Braunfels as Texas Sponsors

MOORESVILLE, NC (April 5, 2016) – The Motorsports Group (TMG) officials are proud to announce that Crawfest New Braunfels and the City of New Braunfels (Texas) will serve as sponsors of the team’s No. 30 Chevrolet entry for the upcoming NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event at Texas Motor Speedway. The logos of the festival and city it is held in will adorn the No. 30 Crawfest New Braunfels Chevrolet piloted by Josh Wise for the running of the Duck Commander 500 on Saturday night April 9, 2016 at the 1.5-mile Texas track.

“We are excited and honored to represent Crawfest and the city of New Braunfels this coming weekend,” said Curtis Key Sr., owner of TMG. “We are working hard to grow our Sprint Cup Series program and having the support of sponsors such as these is key to this continued growth. We look forward to representing them in a professional manner on and off the track and putting on a good show for them Saturday night.”

Crawfest New Braunfels 2016 will be held on April 29-30 at the Comal County Fairground in New Braunfels, Texas. Ben Jones, organizer of Crawfest New Braunfels, had been having a crawfish fest at his home for 14 years. After his wife said “no” to the loads of tour buses pulling up to her front door, Jones moved the increasingly popular event to the Comal County Fairgrounds. Now the event features three stages of live music, rides for the kiddos, the “Battle of the Roux” Gumbo Championships, a 5K Crawdaddy Dash, an art/craft market, and 10,000 lbs. of the best tasting mudbugs this side of the Louisiana border.

“We look forward to the Texas race this weekend,” stated Ben Jones, organizer of Crawfest New Braunfels. “We think there is a perfect match between our festival and NASCAR – Fast, Food and Music.”

TMG will also be supported for the Texas race by Radisson Ft. Worth North at Fossil Creek which will serve as home for the team during their stay in the area. The hotel boasts the amenities you need for a satisfying stay, from an energizing fitness center to a refreshing heated indoor pool and whirlpool spa. Business travelers benefit from on-site meeting facilities and free Internet access at this property just six miles north of downtown Fort Worth within minutes of the Alliance corridor, Meacham Airport and several business parks. After riding the complimentary shuttle service to destinations within a five-mile radius, treat yourself to a meal at the on-site Main Street Cafe and drinks at the lobby bar. The hotel also features the exciting Cassidy’s Nightclub for entertainment mere steps from your hotel room.

The running of the Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway will be at 7:30 ET on Saturday April 9, 2016 and can be seen LIVE on FOX and heard nationwide on Performance Racing Network (PRN) and SiriuxXM Radio Channel 90.
