TOYOTA QUOTES

CARL EDWARDS, No. 19 Stanley Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position: 1st
What does the lower downforce package mean for you at Texas, given your success at this track?
“I like it here, I really enjoy Texas. I have a lot of friends here. This is a fun place to race. The tire, I don’t know what the other guys feel, the tire and downforce package for me lets me feel like I can go into the corner and move around and feel the tire underneath me. Even in qualifying, there were times when I got a little sideways and it slid a little bit and I could recover and that’s really fun as a race car driver. Hopefully the race goes well. We have some practice later. I just cannot thank my guys on this Stanley Tools Camry enough, they are unbelievable.”

MARTIN TRUEX, JR., No. 78 Bass Pro Shops/TRACKER Boats Toyota Camry, Furniture Row Racing
Starting Position: 3rd
How was your qualifying run?
“It was a good run for us. I guess we’re tied for second, which means we’ll start third. All in all, happy with that. Proud of the guys for bringing a good Bass Pro Shops Camry this weekend and we’ll just see what happens. Feeling good about it. We missed it a little bit from yesterday, I thought we were really good yesterday and the track was a little faster today and moved on us a little bit. I felt like we had a shot at the pole today, but the 19 (Carl Edwards) put a heck of a lap down, so proud for him.”

DENNY HAMLIN, No. 11 FedEx Office Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position: 6th

MATT KENSETH, No. 20 Dollar General Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position: 9th
How was qualifying?
“The speed was pretty good for as far as I felt the balance was off. We’ve been kind of off since we got here. Actually to be ninth with what it felt like wasn’t too bad.”

KYLE BUSCH, No. 18 Interstate Batteries Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position: 15th

MATT DiBENEDETTO, No. 83 Cosmo Motors Toyota Camry, BK Racing
Starting Position: 29th

DAVID RAGAN, No. 23 Dr. Pepper Toyota Camry, BK Racing
Starting Position: 31st
