Last time at Bristol

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. salvaged a 21st-place finish in Saturday night’s NSCS race at Bristol Motor Speedway after a late race accident.

Crew Chief Nick Sandler grew up in Asheville, NC. Sandler earned his Mechanical Engineering degree from Duke University and is an avid Blue Devils fan.

Zest

Zest is currently in its fifth season as a primary partner in the NSCS for Roush Fenway. They have spent all five years on the No. 17 machine; one year with Matt Kenseth and four years with Stenhouse.

Zest will also adorn the No. 17 machine again at Kansas Speedway.

Stenhouse Jr. on racing at Bristol:

“I’m looking forward to Bristol this weekend. Bristol is one of my favorite tracks and we’ve had a lot of success there in the past. We struggled at Phoenix earlier this year, but we think we learned some things that will help us this weekend. The key to Bristol is being patient. Pit road is tricky as well but I feel if we can execute on pit road and keep dialing in our Zest Ford as the race progresses then we should be able to leave Bristol with another solid finish.”

Nick Sandler on racing at Bristol:

“We are looking forward to Bristol this weekend. It is one of Ricky’s favorite tracks and we were strong there last year. The key is to have a car that can run the top and bottom. Our short track program seemed a little off in Phoenix with this new package but we learned some things that will be beneficial for us this weekend. I’m confident that we will have another strong performance this weekend at Bristol.”
