Armstrong at Bristol Motor Speedway:
Dakoda will be making his fifth career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Bristol Motor Speedway to go along with two previous starts in the Camping World Truck Series. Armstrong has a best XFINITY Series finish of 23rd at “The World’s Fastest Half-Mile” which occurred during this race last year.
Dakoda’s Thoughts on Bristol Motor Speedway:
“Bristol is a small track that produces rough racing. It kind of reminds me of my early years in racing at Salem and Winchester in Indiana – fast tracks that you run up against the wall at. Track position is very important at Bristol as you really need to go right from the beginning so you can’t get stuck behind someone and lose time to the leaders because the laps are so fast around there that it is easy to get down a lap.”

“Bristol overall is a fast and fun track to race on. We have been struggling a little bit here to start the season and a solid run at Bristol would be a nice momentum changer.”

New Dash 4 Cash Format:
The NASCAR XFINITY Series will take racing back to its roots with Heat races, beginning with the first of four Dash 4 Cash events this weekend in Bristol. All Dash 4 Cash events are comprised of two Heats and a Main.

For these unique Dash 4 Cash events, traditional, single-car qualifying will determine the 40 eligible vehicles and starting positions for the two Heats, with the fastest qualifier receiving the Coors Light Pole Award. Odd-numbered qualifiers (1st, 3rd, 5th, etc.) will start in the first Heat in respective order, while even-numbered qualifiers (2nd, 4th, 6th, etc.) will start the second Heat in respective order.

The two Heats will set the starting positions for the Main, with the top two NASCAR XFINITY Series championship points-earning drivers in each Heat becoming eligible for the Dash 4 Cash bonus. Of the four eligible Dash 4 Cash drivers, the highest-finishing driver in the Main will be awarded a $100,000 bonus.
