Up-and-Down Day for Austin Dillon Ends on a High Note at Loudon

“It’s been great to honor Team USA and their partnership with Dow this weekend. The track temperature played a lot into the handling of the No. 3 car since we started with a lot of sun before the clouds moved in and the sun came back out. We were loose in the middle and lost some forward drive, but Slugger (Labbe, crew chief) and the guys made great adjustments on the first stop and got us where we needed to be for balance. The longer the run, the better the car felt. Man, when that sun came back out towards the end of the race, it made the track real slick. We didn’t have grip like we did in the beginning, but the last few restarts helped us gain some track position. These boys never give up.”

Paul Menard and the No. 27 Dutch Boy / Menards Chevrolet Team Finish 18th at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

“We were just a little off all weekend. Justin (Alexander, crew chief) and the guys made adjustments in the right direction on Saturday so we had something to work with today. Our Dutch Boy/Menards Chevy was good on the long run today but we were just a few changes away from ideal. This team never gives up though. I’m looking forward to next weekend in Indy.”
