ADVANCE NOTES

Biffle at Pocono
In his 27 career Cup Series starts at Pocono, Biffle has one win, five top-five and eight top-10 finishes.

In 2010 he earned his only victory at the “tricky triangle.”
Earlier this Season at Pocono
Greg Biffle was saving fuel and was in good shape to pull off a top-10 finish at Pocono Raceway when a flat tire under green sent him to pit road with just a few laps remaining. The untimely stop cost him a lap to the leaders and resulted in a 26th-place finish for the No. 16 Ford.

Last Fall at Pocono
Biffle had worked his way into the top 10 and was able to capitalize on pit strategy, stretching fuel mileage to the end. Biffle ran out of fuel coming to the white flag, but was able to coast his way to a fifth-place finish while many others had to pit for fuel.

On the Car

The No. 16 Fusion carries the Ford EcoBoost colors this weekend in Pocono. Ford EcoBoost technology combines smaller overall size with turbocharging, direct injection and variable valve timing to bring customers outstanding performance and fuel economy.

Local Ties

Three members of the No. 16 team call Pocono their home track. Joe Zanolini, front end mechanic, is from Syberstville, PA. Dustin Keath, tire specialist, is from Reading, PA and pit support member Dale Hoffman is from Allentown, PA.
Biffle on Pocono:
“Pocono is so unique, you’ve got three completely different corners and really long straightaways. Seems like every time we go there the tunnel turn gets faster and faster. You try and get the best balance for the three corners, but really the one corner that really produces passing is turn three coming onto the longest main straightway and then the braking down into turn one. I try to be the best I can in three, I don’t want to give up time in one and the tunnel, so it’s kind of a juggle as to what corner you can get your car really good at.”
