ADVANCE NOTES

Wallace at Darlington

Wallace will make his second career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Darlington on Saturday afternoon.

Wallace earned a 14th-place finish in his first start at the historic oval in 2015.

Going Old School

As part of Darlington’s Tradition Continues events this weekend, Wallace’s No. 6 Ford Mustang will carry a special tribute paint scheme to former Roush Fenway Racing driver Mark Martin.

This retro scheme will carry the colors NASCAR Hall of Famer Martin drove in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series during the 1990 and 1991 seasons for Roush Fenway. Martin earned four victories and 40 top-10 finishes while running this famed paint scheme.

Recapping Road America

Wallace overcame adversity and improved over 20 positions in the closing laps of the NASCAR XFINITY Series event at Road America to earn a ninth-place finish.

Seth Barbour at Darlington

Barbour will call his fourth NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Darlington this weekend. In three previous starts, Barbour recorded a best finish of 12th in 2013 with 2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series Champion Chris Buescher.

QUOTE WORTHY

Wallace on racing at Darlington:

“It’s really an honor to have this scheme, a Hall of Famers scheme, on our race car this weekend with Mark Martin. I think it will be one of the best-looking cars of the weekend and hopefully, we can give it a great run on Saturday and see if we can get this Ford Mustang in victory lane come days’ end.”
