NBC’s BLINDSPOT Actor to Lead Field to Green on Saturday, September 10th
Sullivan Stapleton from NBC’s drama BLINDSPOT will join thousands of NASCAR fans at Richmond on Saturday, September 10th as the Honorary Pace Car Driver for the Federated Auto Parts 400. Stapleton will check all his “blind spots” as he leads the field of 40 NASCAR’s best to the green flag – also taking part in a special Pre-Race stunt to be announced on race day!
“I am honored and very excited to drive the pace car for Federated Auto Parts 400 race. I’m a huge race fan and being on the track and leading these drivers to the green flag for the start is an awesome opportunity!” said Stapleton.
Stapleton has been working in the entertainment industry for over a decade. He was the 2012 Australians in Film Awards “Breakthrough Actor” recipient, at their annual ceremony in Los Angeles. Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia; he splits his time-off from filming between Melbourne and Los Angeles. Stapleton, a motorsports enthusiast, will get a once-in-a-lifetime experience of being the Honorary Pace Car Driver for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series regular season finale.
On BLINDSPOT, last season’s #1 new broadcast drama, a beautiful woman is found naked in Times Square, her memory erased, her body covered in a series of coded tattoos – the most prominent bearing the name of FBI agent Kurt Weller.
