ADVANCE NOTES

Wallace at Texas

Wallace will make his fourth career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday.

In three previous starts, Wallace has recorded one top-10, a sixth-place finish in the spring 2015 event.

Wallace has also made four starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at the 1.5-mile oval, recording three top-10 finishes with a best finish of sixth coming in June 2013.

Recapping Kansas

Wallace ran inside the top 15 for much of the NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Kansas Speedway before getting involved in a multi-car incident on Lap 164 that ended the Leidos Mustang’s day early. Wallace was scored with a 33rd-place finish.

Seth Barbour at Texas

Barbour will call his eighth NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Texas on Saturday. In seven previous starts, Barbour’s best finish at the Fort Worth track is 15th with Roush Fenway driver Ryan Reed in the spring 2015 event and Wallace in the spring 2016 event.

Chasing a Championship

The NASCAR XFINITY Series returns to action this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway after two weeks off.  Wallace enters this weekend’s race eighth on the NASCAR XFINITY Series Chase Grid, 18 points out of the fourth and final position. The final cutoff race before the Championship round will occur following next weekend’s race at Phoenix International Raceway as four drivers compete for the Championship at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

QUOTE WORTHY

Wallace on racing at Texas:

“I’m really looking forward to getting back in the car in Texas. Kansas didn’t go how we wanted it to and we’ve had two weeks to get ready for this weekend. We know what we need to do in order to have a chance at making it to the last round of the Chase and I know my guys on this Leidos team will give it all they have to get it done.”
