DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Dec. 5 , 2016) – Multi-platinum recording artist, actress and DAV Ambassador Jordin Sparks, whose faith-based film God Bless The Broken Road will be in theaters early 2017, will perform the National Anthem for the 59th annual DAYTONA 500 NASCAR premier series race at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday, Feb. 26 (TV – FOX, FOX Deportes; Radio – MRN Radio, SiriusXM).
“We’re thrilled to have Jordin Sparks be a part of the pre-race ceremonies and sing the National Anthem prior to the DAYTONA 500,” Daytona International Speedway President Chip Wile said. “Jordin is an incredible talent and we look forward to her rendition of the National Anthem before the start of the 59th ‘Great American Race.’ ”
God Bless The Broken Road tells the story of Amber (Lindsay Pulsipher), a young mother whose husband makes the ultimate sacrifice while serving in Afghanistan and she struggles to raise their young daughter (Makenzie Moss) in his absence. Sparks plays Amber’s close friend, Bridgette. The film combines elements of faith, country music and stock car racing while paying tribute to those who serve in the United States military and their families. A portion of the film’s profits will go to DAV (Disabled American Veterans). http://godblessthebrokenroad.com/

About Daytona International Speedway
Daytona International Speedway recently completed a $400 million frontstretch renovation project that transformed the “World Center of Racing” into the world’s only motorsports stadium. Improvements included wider, more comfortable seats, five expanded and redesigned entrances, 40 escalators and upgraded amenities throughout the 11 football-field size neighborhoods. The new stadium was awarded the SportsBusiness Journal’s prestigious Sports Business Award for Sports Facility of the Year. Daytona International Speedway is the home of “The Great American Race” – the DAYTONA 500. Though the season-opening NASCAR premier series event garners most of the attention – as well as the largest audience in motorsports – the approximately 500-acre motorsports complex boasts the most diverse schedule of racing on the globe. New to the calendar for 2016 are the Country 500 music festival on Memorial Day Weekend and the Ferrari World Finals on Dec. 1-4. In addition to at least eight major weekends of racing activity, rarely a week goes by that the Speedway grounds are not used for events that include civic and social gatherings, car shows, photo shoots, production vehicle testing and police motorcycle training.
