While running in the top 12 with less than 125 laps remaining in Saturday night’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) race at Richmond Raceway, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was penalized for a commitment line violation during green flag pit stops ultimately ending his night forcing him to settle with a 23rd-place finish.

Stenhouse Jr. on racing at Richmond:

“Richmond is generally a good track for our team. I made some mistakes earlier this year that put us behind all race. Our cars showed a lot of speed at Bristol and Darlington so I’m looking forward to that carrying over to this weekend. Our goal for this final nine races is to learn as much as we can so we can build on that for next year.”
