WHAT WERE YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGES IN QUALIFYING?
“We just lacked balance and probably just a little bit of speed there, in Qualifying. I feel like our balance wasn’t terrible; it was better than practice, but we were still pretty slow. So hopefully we can figure something out for the race tomorrow because if it drives like it did in practice, it’ll be a long race.”
AUSTIN DILLON, NO. 3 DOW VORASURF CAMARO ZL1 – Qualified 28th
YOU SEEMED TO BE PRETTY GOOD IN PRACTICE. WHAT HAPPENED DURING YOUR QUALIFYING RUN?
“Actually, we were really never good in qualifying trim, even at the test here. But, our race trim is really good, so I’m not truthfully worried about where we are starting. I would like to start better, obviously, for pit stall and all that good stuff, but race trim, we have a car capable of running inside the top five with a shot to win. So, proud of our Dow guys for all the work they’ve done. We just didn’t do a good job in qualifying trim.”
