QUIKTRIP HOSTS PIT PARTY WITH NASCAR DRIVER APPEARANCES, KICKING OFF FOLDS OF HONOR QUIKTRIP 500 RACE FESTIVITIES IN ATLANTA

Free community event will feature family-friendly entertainment, driver appearances and exciting prizes

NORCROSS, Ga. (Jan. 7, 2019)  Start your engines — early! NASCAR fans in the greater Atlanta metro will not have to wait until February’s Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 event to get a glimpse of the 2019 race at Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS). QuikTrip (QT), one of the nation’s premier convenience and gasoline marketers, will host a Pit Party for fans on Saturday, Jan. 26th at a Norcross QT store to kick off the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 race weekend in February.

QT’s Pit Party will feature a variety of family-friendly activities and entertainment throughout the day. Coca-Cola® will feature its interactive race simulator where fans can enjoy a NASCAR driver’s seat experience. Coca-Cola Racing team drivers Bubba Wallace and Daniel Suãrez will make appearances.

QT will feature its prize wheel, a DJ, have mascots on-site and provide free food sampling from QT Kitchens throughout the day. For guests who enter, QT and Coca-Cola will be giving away grand prizes of rides with Coca-Cola Racing Family drivers at AMS during the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 race weekend. This exclusive experience will let winners sit alongside a Coca-Cola Racing Family driver in a Chevrolet pace car and take a spin around the Atlanta Motor Speedway.

“We’re eager to host this community Pit Party event to generate some excitement among all of the great NASCAR fans in the city, while also showing the fans how they can honor and support our military members in conjunction with our partner, Folds of Honor,” said Mendi Parker, QT’s Manager of Store Marketing / PR & Events. “Our goal is to make the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 the most patriotic NASCAR race in the country, and this Pit Party will be a preview for all of the fun and patriotic activities we have planned this year.”

QT’s Pit Party will take place at 5795 Jimmy Carter Blvd., Norcross, GA, at the intersection of Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Brookhollow Parkway. The event will be held from 10am to 3pm. The event is free and open to the community.
