Genny Light Beer Has Top Billing on Nemechek’s Toyota at Watkins Glen International

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (August 10, 2012) — Nemco Motorsports announced today that Genny Light beer will be featured on the hood of Joe Nemechek’s No. 87 Toyota Camry for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Finger Lakes 335 at The Glen on Sunday, August 12.

“We’re looking forward to having Genny Light as a sponsor this weekend at Watkins Glen,” Joe Nemechek said. “Racing fans want a light beer that goes down smooth while they’re hanging out in the stands.”

Nemechek’s best start (8/13/2000) and finish (8/10/1997) at Watkins Glen International is eighth in 17 races. His average start is 22.412 and average finish is 23.941 and he has led 10 laps at the 2.45-mile road course. He’s always looking to add to his four NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victories, 18 top-five, 62 top-10 finishes and 10 pole awards.

“Our schedule is versatile and it’s fun to have a couple road courses thrown into the mix,” Nemechek said. “Watkins Glen is a fast and challenging track and it’s that way from the beginning going through Turn 1, up through the esses and until the end. I’ve got a few top-10 finishes there and we hope to put on a good show for Genny Light fans this weekend.”

Genny Light is an American classic beer from The Genesee Brewing Company, based in Rochester, New York. Founded in 1878, The Genesee Brewery is one of the largest and oldest continually operating breweries in the United States. The Brewery makes the Genesee line of beers, including the iconic Genesee, the refreshing Genny Light, and the original Genesee Cream Ale.

“We’re excited to see the Genny Light brand printed across the hood of a racecar,” said Janine Schoos, brand manager for Genny Light. “This is definitely a highlight for us.”
