This weekend, Allgaier will be making his first NSCS start at Richmond International Raceway (RIR) in the No. 51 BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevy. This weekend marks Allgaier’s fourth short-track start this season. Allgaier’s NSCS career-best finish came at a short track, Bristol Motor Speedway, earlier this season with a 17th-place finish. He has 10 starts in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) at RIR, scoring five top-10 finishes in 11 starts.

See Justin…On Saturday, April 26 at 2:45 p.m. EDT Allgaier will appear at the Sprint Experience, located in the RIR Fan Zone, for a Q&A.

Darlington Recap…Allgaier made his first NSCS start at Darlington Raceway two weeks ago. After two smooth practice sessions, Allgaier qualified his Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes Chevy 24th for the 500-mile race. Darlington was also the second consecutive weekend the No. 51 team advanced to the second round of knockout qualifying. After a green/white/checkered finish, Allgaier brought his car home in the 23rd position for HScott Motorsports.

Sunoco Rookie of the Year…After graduating to the NSCS this season, Allgaier is competing for Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors in the No. 51 BRANDT Chevy. In 2009, Allgaier took home the Rookie of the Year title in the NNS. After Darlington, Allgaier is currently third in the standings behind Kyle Larson and Austin Dillon.

Justin Allgaier on Richmond International Raceway:

“I’m looking forward to Richmond [International Raceway]. It’s a night race and puts on a good show for the fans. We are coming back after a weekend off, so hopefully everyone is rejuvenated and ready to go for this long stretch of races. We’ve been making gains every week, and I’ve really taken to the short tracks in the Sprint Cup car. I’m ready to get out on the track this weekend and get back in the groove of things.”

Crew Chief Steve Addington on Richmond International Raceway:

“We’ve been making gains every week off of the track and on the track. Justin is learning more each week, and he’s done really well on short tracks this season, so we hope to continue that trend at Richmond [International Raceway]. As long as we keep plugging away and continue our consistency, we will be fine.”
