EARNHARDT HAS HISTORY AT CHARLOTTE
CONCORD, N.C. – Jeffrey Earnhardt returns this weekend to the track – Charlotte Motor Speedway – where his grandfather (Dale Earnhardt Sr.) made his Sprint Cup debut.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. also raced in the Cup series for the first time at CMS.
Jeffrey has driven in four Nationwide events at the track and will be in the Flex Shot Chevrolet for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller in Friday’s Drive for the Cure 300.
“Charlotte has been a big part of the Earnhardt family’s racing history,” Earnhardt said. “It’s always fun to go there and relive some of the great races from the past. And we’re ready to turn in a good run Friday in the Flex Shot Chevrolet.”
Earnhardt finished 25th in the May Nationwide race at CMS.
Nationwide teams are scheduled to practice at 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. (ET) Thursday. Qualifying is scheduled at 4:10 p.m., with the race set for 7:30 p.m.
