NASCAR and Talladega Superspeedway Enter New Partnership With Sugarlands

TALLADEGA, Ala. – Award-winning moonshine distillery Sugarlands Distilling Company, LLC. has entered the sport by signing agreements with both the sanctioning body and one of the most iconic tracks on the circuit, Talladega Superspeedway. The new partnerships designate Sugarlands Shine as the “Official Moonshine of NASCAR” and as the title partner of the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Trucks Series fall race, the Sugarlands Shine 250.

Full weekend schedule for Talladega

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will be in action at Talladega Superspeedway while the NASCAR Xfinity Series is off. The Monster Energy Series heads to the second race of the Round of 12 in the NASCAR Playoffs, while the Camping World Truck Series Playoffs enters the final race of the Round of 8.

Richard Childress began his driving career at Talladega Superspeedway in 1969 and is in a tie for the most all-time car owner victories at the storied Alabama-based race track with 12 wins. Dale Earnhardt visited Victory Lane nine times, while Kevin Harvick and Clint Bowyer swept the 2010 events at the 2.66-mile superspeedway. Bowyer added to the Welcome, N.C.-based organization's total by claiming RCR's 100th Cup Series win when NASCAR's senior series visited the facility in October 2011. In 174 starts, RCR also has four pole awards, 42 top-five, 70 top-10 finishes and has led 1,843 laps of competition

For the eighth consecutive season, Chevrolet has partnered with the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (MSABC). This weekend at Talladega Superspeedway, Chevrolet will host 25 breast cancer survivors and guests on Saturday morning for hospitality and an activity. They will then join Team Chevy driver’s Austin Dillon and Ryan Newman for pace car rides in specially designed pink Chevrolet Camaro SS pace cars.
