It is always a highlight to my year to be here and get to race in my home community. I think a lot of drivers do some great charitable acts and certainly I don’t want to claim to be my only one. We are glad to have our charitable event here this year with my Checkered Flag Foundation up in Dryden which is just north of where I am from up in Rochester, the Rochester Hills area. We had a great time raising funds to help the Fisher House Foundation build a Fisher House building for veterans and their families here in Ann Arbor, close to where we are at here at the race track. That is something we are really committed to doing and hopeful to see that come to fruition. We had a lot of fun at the fundraiser. It was a fun fundraiser. A lot of times fundraisers aren’t a lot of fun. It was a fun experience for me and everyone involved. A great way to engage the community and some of our veterans and hopefully make that happen for this community. It is a cause near and dear to my heart for a lot of reasons and we were able to put a dent in the funding. It has been a good start to the week.”

Last weekend was obviously a great weekend for our team getting back to victory lane for the second time of the year, so, yeah, things have been going really well for us lately."

Roush Fenway Racing heads north to that 8-Mile road and the home of Ford Motor Company for the first of two trips within a two-month span as the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) and NASCAR Xfinity series both hit the 2.0-mile track this weekend.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series head to Michigan International Speedway this weekend, while the Camping World Truck Series is at Texas Motor Speedway. Check out the full schedule below, subject to change.

Paul Menard and the No. 21 Menards/Jack Links Ford team head to Michigan hoping for a strong performance at the home track of Ford Motor Company and a home track of sorts for Menard.

Chase Elliott continues to eye the ultimate career breakthrough: a first victory in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. Simultaneously, he embraces the potential significance of that breakthrough happening at Daytona International Speedway, where his father, Bill Elliott, cemented his high-banked stock car legacy in the 1980s.

Kenseth is a three-time winner at the 2-mile speedway, including most recently in 2015, as well as 2002 and 2006. He has 20 top-10 and 14 top-five finishes along with one career pole (2015).

Ryan Reed has competed at Michigan International Speedway (MIS) four times in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Reed has never finished lower than 19th and earned his best finish of eighth at the 2.0-mile track in 2017.
