We tried everything to tighten it up and made little gains but not a lot. We want to be in victory lane but when the day started like that I would have taken a fourth and it is good to see the resilience of this team and being able to come home with a decent finish.”
Rheem announced today the sponsorship of Ron Hornaday for two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races in 2014. Rheem will be the primary sponsor for the four-time NASCAR champion for the Sept. 27 race in Las Vegas and Oct. 31 race in Texas.
Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM) announced today the No. 9 team will move forward with a new driver in 2015. Marcos Ambrose, who has been with RPM since 2011, has informed the organization that he will return to his native home of Australia in 2015. This was a personal decision by Ambrose.

Ryan Newman, No. 31 Caterpillar Chevrolet SS, earned a front row starting position by virtue of posting the second fastest time in the 90 minute practice session earlier in the afternoon.
