This weekend marks a double header for the Brighton Speedway Vanderlaan Building Products Pro Late Models. The division will compete in its regularly scheduled 30-lap feature at Brighton on Saturday night before taking to the pavement Sunday afternoon at Kawartha Speedway. The 20-lap, $500-to-win feature is part of the OSCAAR Racing Summer Rush event. The event also features 50-lap OSCAAR Super Late Model, and 25-lap OSCAAR Modified races.
Final preparations are ongoing for the return of Summer Rush to Kawartha Speedway on July 13th. A full card of racing – including the OSCAAR Super Late Model & Modified Tours, Dirt Late Models and Round 2 of the heralded Mini Stock Nationals – will kick off at 2:30pm.

It's an annual pilgrimage across the highways and byways of the Hoosier state, competing at some of the most historic and sprint car-rich tracks in the country. Fans plan their vacation around the week-plus of races, which are contested at some of the raciest tracks in the entire country.
This weekend's 200-lap event will mark Eric McClure's 241st-carrer NNS start and his eighth at the one-mile track. In seven starts, the Virginia driver has completed 88.4% of the total laps attempted and has an average finish of 28.4. Last season McClure was on his way to earning a career-best finish when he ran out of fuel during the second attempt at a green-white-checker finish. As a result, the team posted a 31st-place finish.
