American Diabetes Association Youth Ambassador Justin Keel will ride along with Roush Fenway Racing driver Ryan Reed during Saturday’s NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Dover International Speedway. The Wyomissing, Pa. native will have his name featured on a decal above the passenger-side door on the No. 16 Lilly Diabetes American Diabetes Association Ford Mustang.

It was the biggest day in motorsports, starting with the streets of Monaco, where they have been racing since 1929. Then, to Indianapolis, where they have been logging 500 miles this time of year since 1911. Finally, the long way home, the World 600 at Charlotte for the boys and girl with fenders.

Carl Edwards scored his first win of the season, first with Joe Gibbs Racing and first points race at Charlotte Motor Speedway, winning the 56th running of the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway Sunday night. Edwards outdistanced Greg Biffle and third place Dale Earnhardt Jr., in a fuel mileage race to the checkered flag.

For the second straight points race, Martin Truex Jr. had the fastest car, but saw victory elude him as NASCAR's longest race of the year turned into a fuel mileage gamble.

Greg Biffle honored his second cousin, Private Dean VanDyke, whose name was displayed across the windshield of the No. 16 Ortho Ford with a second-place finish in the Coca-Cola 600. Biffle was a constant figure in the top 10 for the longest race of the year and in the end was able to stretch fuel mileage to earn his best finish of the season in what was also his 450th NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) start.

After battling back from being one lap down and maneuvering his Fastenal Ford up inside the top-20, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was running in the 16th position before a mechanical issue sent him to the garage for repair. Thanks to the hasty work by the No. 17 team to repair the issue, Stenhouse Jr. was able to return to the track and pick up two positions in the final laps, salvaging a 37th-place finish inSunday’s Coca Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Richard Childress Racing teammates Ryan Newman, Paul Menard and Austin Dillon finished sixth, 14th and 16th, respectively, in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Camry driver Carl Edwards was victorious in Sunday night’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

RYAN BLANEY – No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Fusion – “We unfortunately had an engine problem. It was really unfortunate. I thought our Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Fusion was pretty good. Jeremy Bullins and everyone on the team did a great job of working on it all night and getting us better, and it really took off on that one restart and I thought we were gonna be pretty good."

Dale Earnhardt, Jr., driver of the No. 88 Nationwide Chevrolets SS lead the Team Chevy effort at the Coca-Cola 600, round 12 of the NASCAR Sprint Cup circuit at Charlotte Motor Speedway, with a third-place finish. It was Earnhardt, Jr.’s 12th top 10 finish in 31 races at his hometown track.
