NASCAR Racing Schedule – Charlotte Motor Speedway/Iowa With Sprint Showdown & All-Star Format

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and Camping World Truck Series travel to Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend while the XFINITY Series heads to Iowa Speedway. The complete on-track activity and the press conference schedules are listed below.

Trevor Bayne – Sprint Showdown Advance

Bayne previously raced in the Sprint All-Star race in 2012, starting from the 11th position and finishing 15th.

Greg Biffle – Sprint Showdown Advance

Biffle’s last Showdown appearance was in 2010 where he finished second and transferred to the All-Star race. Biffle went on to finish ninth.

Stenhouse Jr – Sprint Showdown Advance

The driver of the No. 17 Fastenal Ford will try to race his way in to Saturday night’s All-Star race this Friday night in the Sprint Showdown. If he doesn’t race his way in, then he will rely on the fan vote to get in to the All-Star race.

Kyle Busch to Remain Eligible for NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship

NASCAR announced today that Kyle Busch will remain eligible to compete for the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship. Busch will qualify for the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup by meeting all requirements of eligibility excluding Rule 17.6.2.1.a, which requires a driver to start all Championship Events of the current season.
