NASCAR Cup Series

Racing action resumes this weekend as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR XFINITY Series head to Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will take a few weeks off, returning to the track on March 28 at Martinsville.

My mom always taught me growing up that if something’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right. It’s becoming fairly obvious that NASCAR, ISC, SMI, or other track owners such as Dover Motorsports or the Mattioli family aren’t doing things right when it comes to SAFER Barriers, and never have.

Delaware Attorney General Matt Denn’s office announced Thursday morning that they will not file any criminal charges against Kurt Busch. The decision comes after an investigation stemming from allegations made by Busch’s ex-girlfriend, Patricia Driscoll, of domestic assault.

McMurray will make his 13th NSCS career start at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend. In 12 previous starts he has four top-10 and one top-five finish. McMurray has finished on the lead lap in eight of those 12 races and has completed 3,205 of 3,225 (99.4%) of competition.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) heads west for the first time this season. Justin Allgaier will compete for the second time in his NSCS career this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS).

Greg Biffle will drive the No. 16 Cheez-It Ford Fusion this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Cheez-It is a primary partner on the No. 16 Ford and will make their 2015 debut in the Sprint Cup Series this weekend.

This weekend, Michael Annett embarks on a three-week West Coast swing for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, beginning with Sunday's race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Annett and the HScott Motorsports team will then travel to Phoenix International Raceway in Avondale, Ariz. and Fontana, Calif.'s Auto Club Speedway.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. hopes Las Vegas launches his junior year in the Sprint Cup series just as it did in his junior year in the XFINITY series in 2012. Stenhouse used the early win at Las Vegas that year to launch into a season that would see him visit victory lane on five more occasions that season.

Coming off of a cold weekend in Atlanta, Roush Fenway Racing looks to go on a heater this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS) and ensure that what happens there propels them throughout the rest of the season.
