NASCAR Cup Series

In the weeks leading up to the prestigious season-opening DAYTONA 500 Sunday, Feb. 22, the stars of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will be logging plenty of miles promoting “The Great American Race” with the Road to the DAYTONA 500 Tour.

David Gilliland will return to Front Row Motorsports in 2015, and his No. 38 Ford will carry the colors of Love's Travel Stops for an expanded 18 races. The extended partnership will once again anchor Love's as Gilliland's principal sponsor for the season and will return the familiar yellow, red and black scheme to the No. 38 Ford Fusion for half of the 2015 points races.

As we enter 2015 and the hype for the 2015 season begins, I figured why not do a top 30 points prediction? This list will come out in parts, once a week starting with 30th to 28th, 27th to 22nd, 21st-17th, then four per week ending during Daytona 500 week.

For the second straight year, the NASCAR Hall of Fame will open its doors for FREE for NASCAR Fan Appreciation Day. On Saturday, Jan. 31, fans will have free access to the Hall for a full day of activities, including autographs and Q&A sessions with current drivers and NASCAR Hall of Famers.

After running a partial XFINITY Series schedule, Sam Hornish Jr. believed that he was ready to make the transition to the Sprint Cup Series. However, that was far from the truth. In running the full schedule in 2009 and 2010, Hornish only produced two top-fives and eight top-10s, with finishes of 28th and 29th in points.
