Jimmie Johnson brought the Lowes Chevrolet through the chaos and mass destruction to claim the six-shooters in victory lane at Texas Motor Speedway. Johnson, whose car sported a unique red and white paint scheme to honor the employees of Lowes, was strong from the beginning of the weekend.

Greg Biffle came back from being a lap down to finish 13th at Texas Motor Speedway in his No. 16 Ortho Fire Ant Killer Ford Fusion. Biffle started the race 19th and lost a lap due to handling. After taking the “wave around”, he got back on the lead lap and survived two green-white-checkered attempts to finish 13th and remain 13th in the point standings.

Furniture Row Racing driver Martin Truex Jr., who qualified eighth and ran in or near the top-10 for the majority of the race, got stuck in traffic during the final green-white-checkered restart. He was credited with a 19th-place finish in Sunday's Sprint Cup Series race, which went seven laps into overtime – from 334 to 341.

After overcoming being two laps down and two green-white-checkered attempts, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. drove his EcoPower Ford to a 23rd-place finish in Sunday’s Sprint Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway.
