Edwards started in third, but got tight across the center and very loose off within the first 16 laps. Crew Chief Jimmy Fennig and the Fastenal crew tried air, shim and wedge adjustments to tighten their Ford Fusion, but unfortunately he started dropping back and ran between 14th and 22nd the majority of the race. When the checkered flag flew, Edwards crossed the start/finish line in 20th place.

The No. 16 Ford didn’t have the turn Biffle needed early on in the race, but the team never gave up, making the necessary adjustments to leave Loudon with a top-15 finish.

Tuesday afternoon Ontario County District Attorney Michael Tantillo announced that the evidence gathered from the investigation into the fatal crash of Kevin Ward Jr. in which Tony Stewart was involved, will be submitted to a grand jury.

“New Hampshire is a track that I enjoy going to. It’s a track where you have to have a good handling car, you have to have track position and you have to have everything going right. If you get yourself stuck in the middle of the pack you’re not going to have a very good day unless you have a really good car.”

The recent NASCAR Richmond International Speedway event over the weekend of September 6th-7th did nothing to excite fans as far as racing was concerned, but there was one element of audience support that certainly got a few tongues wagging.

Marcos Ambrose and the STANLEY Racing team have one objective: end the season with a win. Before Ambrose heads to Australia, he and the No. 9 team hope to check one more box off the list and get a win on an oval.

Aric Almirola and the No. 43 team had a strong showing in Chicago before an engine failure resulted in a 41st-place finish. Now 16th in points and 23 points outside of the Top-12, Almirola and the team are focused on winning in the next two races in order to advance to the Contender Round of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.

On the strength of back-to-back race victories, Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford team enter this weekend as the leaders in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) championship. The team is the only one to claim five victories in 2014 NSCS competition. The consecutive victories mark Keselowski’s first ever two in a row and his 15th career win. It also ties his career-best mark of five wins in a season that he notched on the way to claiming the Cup title in 2012.
