Carl Edwards – THE SYLVANIA 300 – NEW HAMPSHIRE ADVANCE

Edwards started in third, but got tight across the center and very loose off within the first 16 laps. Crew Chief Jimmy Fennig and the Fastenal crew tried air, shim and wedge adjustments to tighten their Ford Fusion, but unfortunately he started dropping back and ran between 14th and 22nd the majority of the race. When the checkered flag flew, Edwards crossed the start/finish line in 20th place.

Greg Biffle – Loudon Advance

The No. 16 Ford didn’t have the turn Biffle needed early on in the race, but the team never gave up, making the necessary adjustments to leave Loudon with a top-15 finish.

On the strength of back-to-back race victories, Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford team enter this weekend as the leaders in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) championship. The team is the only one to claim five victories in 2014 NSCS competition. The consecutive victories mark Keselowski’s first ever two in a row and his 15th career win. It also ties his career-best mark of five wins in a season that he notched on the way to claiming the Cup title in 2012.
